BTS Suga will go to the required military training with Jin and J-Hope.
The latest news from his record label, BIGHIT MUSIC, is that the South Korean rapper will join the service on September 22.
Since there won’t be an official event to mark his leaving on the day he starts his service, the label told fans they couldn’t go see the Agust D rapper at work.
“Please be mindful to avoid getting adversely affected by unauthorized tours or package products that illegally use the artist’s intellectual property,” the statement said.
“Our company will take appropriate measures against attempts at any commercial activity that make unauthorized use of artist IP.”
“We ask for your continued love and support for Suga until he completes his service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time,” the statement said.
South Korean law says that all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 must serve in the military for 18 to 21 months (about 2 years) to keep a strong national defense against foreign forces.
Based on the age requirements, Kim Namjoon, also known as RM, would join the service right after Suga.
