Summerfair Cincinnati’s Poster Design Contest Now Open

The annual contest to design Summerfair Cincinnati’s next commemorative poster is now open.

Summerfair is the biggest arts and crafts festival in Greater Cincinnati, featuring over 300 artists from across the United States and Canada who exhibit and sell their work. The festival returns to Coney Island next year Saturday-Sunday, May 31-June 1.

Organizers say Summerfair’s annual poster serves as the cornerstone of the advertising and public relations program each year and is always a collector’s item. From now until Saturday, Jan. 11, local artists can submit their poster designs for the 2025 event. The winning design will become the official visual icon for Summerfair and the chosen artist will receive $3,000, as well as widespread recognition in Summerfair’s marketing campaign.

Artists must be at least 18 years old and live within a 75-mile radius of downtown Cincinnati to be considered. Any media (e.g. pastels, oils, gouache, full-color photos, prints, etc.) can be used. Designs must be suitable for adaptations and the final art has to be made available in a digital, high-resolution format.
