Summit-based Spark Car Wash has raised $30 million as part of a Series B round led by GoPoint Ventures, the company announced Nov. 14.

Founded in 2018, the high-tech, express car wash chain has a membership-driven model and is known for its speed and technology as well as its efforts to build community and customer connections.

Spark has three locations operating in the Garden State — Woodland Park, Woodbridge and Sicklerville — four under construction and plans to expand to more than 30 locations throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

The company said the investment will enable these expansion plans to bring more Spark Car Washes to a region rich with growth potential.

We achieve this through a constant commitment to quality, service, sustainability, and local community building,” said Kyle Van Decker, Spark’s founder and CEO, in a statement announcing the funding round. “We are grateful for the support from both existing and new investors and appreciate the shared passion for building Spark into a dominant leader in our markets.”

David Zusman, managing partner at GoPoint Ventures, described the investment as an exciting opportunity because of Spark’s differentiated real estate strategy, large market opportunity and operational excellence.
