STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Young artists ranging in age from 8 to 16 from public and parochial schools all over Staten Island attended a 12-week program to present Sundog Theatre’s musical production of “The Addams Family” at Monsignor Farrell High School in Oakwood.
Under the direction of Melissa Tierney, students participated in the Staten Island-based Sundog Theatre’s arts-in-education program. The classes teach students focus and enhance imagination and creativity while they rehearse for a final performance. Students have the opportunity to have fun, create a show with other young people, and develop public presentation skills. In the spring of 2024, the class will present “Seussical,” in which many favorite Dr. Seuss characters come to life onstage.
