Superintendent Resigns When Third-Grade Student Discovers His Gun in the Bathroom


According to a source, a Texas superintendent resigned after leaving a gun in a school lavatory, where a third-grader discovered it. Monday, Superintendent of Rising Star Elementary School Robby Stuteville resigned after the January incident at the school. A pupil discovered the rifle and, without touching it, rushed to alert a teacher. According to conchovalleyhomepage.com, parents at the school said the teacher then sent a second student back to the restroom to determine if the gun was real. Stuteville reportedly stated, “There was never a threat other than the obvious.”
