Taylor Swift Laughs While Singing Kanye West Diss Song in Seattle

Taylor Swift had a good laugh when she played her famous diss track against Kanye West, This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, at her Seattle show for the first time since 2018.

“And here’s to you, ’cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do,” she sang before laughing out loud, as she always does when she sings this song from her album Reputation.

After calming down, she made a joke: “I can’t even say it with a straight face.”

After her well-known fight with Kanye West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, her fans were pleased by her surprise performance of her diss track.

One fan joked that “the laugh was personal,” while another hoped that she “saved this song for a LA performance” in case Kardashian comes with her daughter North.

Swift and Kanye have been fighting for a long time. It all started at the 2009 Video Music Awards, when he interrupted her speech after she won Best Video by a Female Artist.

Even though they made up in the years that followed, Kanye called her “that bitch” in his 2016 song Famous and said that he had her permission to do so.

Swift said that she didn’t agree, so Kardashian put out a recording of Swift talking to Kanye and giving her permission. Taylor was dropped because of the scandal. She talked about that time years later, saying that she wrote songs about it because it was the only way she could get through being stopped.
