Joe Alwyn ended his social media exile after his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift revealed their split album, the Tortured Poets Department, earlier in February.

On Monday, the Conservations with Friends star posted a photo carousel on Instagram.

The post featured various black and white images, a self-portrait, and a screenshot from the UK version of The Office, in which Ricky Gervais says, “Different drinks for different needs.”

It was followed by a candid shot with Brian Cox from Succession. Finally, there was a nice photograph of Alwyn as a child.

Alwyn’s last Instagram post was from September 2023.

The uncommon social media update came as Swift announced her upcoming album, which Swifties believe is a scathing homage to their six-year relationship.

They believe the term refers to Alwyn’s group conversation with actors Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott.

“It’s the Tortured Man Club, I think,” Alwyn said Variety in a December 2022 Actors on Actors interview. “It’s me, you — and Andrew Scott started the group.”

The Anti-Hero singer recently reminisced on her relationship with Alwyn at her Melbourne Eras Tour performance, implying that she is “lonely” despite dating the Harriet actor.

Fans also believe that Swift may reveal certain details in her upcoming ‘revenge’ album.

Swift, 34, separated from Alwyn in the spring of 2023 after six years together. The musician has since moved on to NFL player Travis Kelce.
