
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a teenager who they say was involved in a local pastor’s shooting which caused serious injury.
In February of this year, a pastor was shot while trying to stop a car theft at New Zionfield Baptist Church on a Sunday morning.
The victim, Clemmie Livingston Jr. was taken to the hospital and is now in good condition, returning as the leader of his church who helped raise funds for his recovery.
According to MPD, the suspect—19-year-old R’Shunio Greer—was taken into police custody for unrelated cases.
It was during the shooting investigation that officers reviewed footage of Greer at the scene.
According to the affidavit, Greer later admitted to being on the scene when the shot that injured Pastor Livingston.
Greer is now facing additional charges for aggravated robbery and theft of property.
