Telangana Government has recently announced a new partnership between DENSO, a Japanese automotive technology firm, and T-Hub, India’s leading startup incubator. According to the Telangana government, this collaboration aims to integrate DENSO’s expertise into Telangana’s dynamic startup ecosystem, in line with the state’s vision of leading in advanced, sustainable automotive solutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of key Telangana officials, including Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, IT Advisor Sai Krishna, Chief Strategy Officer Sreekanth Lanka, and T-Hub CEO Sujit Jagirdar. Representing DENSO were CEO Yasuhiro Iida and other senior leaders.
DENSO, through T-Hub’s T-Connect platform, will collaborate with a select network of Indian automotive startups to develop next-generation technologies. This includes participating in T-Hub’s mentorship programmes, where DENSO leaders will share global insights and gain new perspectives from Indian entrepreneurs.

The state is home to key players in automotive design, semiconductors, and sensors, as well as facilities from companies like Mahindra, Bharat Forge, Exide, and Amara Raja Batteries. This partnership with DENSO is a significant step towards establishing Telangana as a hub for both conventional and electric vehicle technologies.
Minister Babu, while highlighting Telangana’s growing status in the automotive industry, supported by substantial investments and a dynamic ecosystem, said, “Telangana is swiftly emerging as a key player in India’s automotive industry, backed by significant investments and a robust, innovation-driven ecosystem. DENSO’s recent partnership with T-Hub marks a significant milestone in this journey, reaffirming Telangana’s commitment to becoming a leading centre for automotive and sustainable technology innovation.”
DENSO’s involvement in T-Hub activities will also extend to CXO roundtables, industry panels, hackathons, and innovation challenges aimed at addressing issues within the domestic automotive sector. These events are designed to foster collaboration and advance sustainable practices, with DENSO supporting innovation through hackathons focused on AI, ADAS, electrification, and V2X communication.
Yasuhiro Iida, CEO at DENSO International India, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Through T-Hub’s T-Connect platform, we look forward to engaging with startups aligned with our vision for a sustainable and intelligent future in mobility. Our support will include access to R&D resources and technical expertise, empowering these startups to scale successfully.”
