Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass Apologizes For Trump Assassination Joke

Kyle Gass, one half of the rock duo Tenacious D alongside Jack Black, has apologized for a controversial joke he made about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. In a social media post, Gass admitted that the remark was “highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake.” “I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused,” wrote Gass. During a show in Australia, Black brought out a cake for Gass’ birthday. When asked what he wished for, Gass replied, “Don’t miss Trump next time.” Since the online uproar, Black has announced that Tenacious D has canceled their current tour and “all future creative plans.” Gass has also been dropped by his talent management agency, Greene Talent.
