
Underserved families in 15 Tennessee counties will be getting a little extra money through the state’s summer nutrition initiative.
The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) announced this week that families can get up to an extra $120.
The one-time payment will be available to families in 15 counties, including Rhea and Sequatchie counties.
The money will be available for children ages 5-18. Eligible households do not need to apply for anything.
TDHS says the payments will be loaded onto existing EBT starting June 13.
The full list the counties that will be a part of this initiative are listed below:
- Benton, Carroll, Carter, Cocke, Fayette, Grainger, Houston, Humphreys, Johnson, Lauderdale, Marshall, Moore, Rhea, Sequatchie, or Sumner Counties.
