Tennessee’s Summer Nutrition Initiative will provide additional help for children in 15 counties


The Tennessee Department of Human Services has announced that families in need in Carter, Johnson and 13 other Tennessee counties will receive a one-time payment of $120 to help with the nutritional needs of their children during the summer months. The payments will be made directly to the families, beginning on Friday, June 13. The funds are part of the Summer Nutrition Initiative.
