ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA – Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram were the third seeds and lifted their first title of 2024. The Brit/American made an excellent start to the Australian Open build up.
Joe Salisbury and American Rajeev Ram started the 2024 season at the ATP 250 event. The Brit/American were the third seeds. In the first round the seeds were against John-Patrick Smith & Andreas Mies. The Australian/German found the seeds too strong as Salisbury & Ram broke serve to take the lead. The second set was much closer as Smith & Mies stayed with the seeds and forced a tiebreak. In the breaker the seeds dominated and took the match in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(2).
The quarter-final saw the seeds against Cristian Rodriguez & Diego Hidalgo. The Columbian/Ecuadorian tried to stay with Salisbury & Ram but the seeds broke serve and moved into the lead. The second set saw the seeds dominate and moved through into the next round 6-4, 6-2.
In the semi-final the Brit/American were against fifth seeds Jan Zielinski & Hugo Nys. The Poles were tough opponents and forced a tiebreak in the first set, which the Brit/American pair eased through. The second set saw the Poles fight back and break the third seeds serve to level up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw the third seeds edge through and book a spot in the final 7-6(4), 5-7, 10-6.
The final saw the third seeds against second seeds Rohan Bopanna & Matt Ebden. The Indian/Australian stayed with Salisbury & Ram, before the Brit/American broke serve right at the end of the set to take the lead. The second set saw the second seeds re-group and fight back. Bopanna & Ebden broke serve right at the end to level up the match. The final match tiebreak was also very close, but eventually, the Brit/American edged the title to take their first of the season 7-5, 5-7, 11-9.

Henry Patten with Francisco Cabral were defeated by Andrew Harris & Harri Heliovaara in the first round in Adelaide 6-4, 7-5.
Neal Skupski with Santiago Gonzalez were defeated by Constantin Frantzen & Hendrik Jebens in the second round in Adelaide 7-6(12), 6-7(4), 10-8.
Lloyd Glasspool with Jean-Julian Rojer were defeated by Gonzalo Escobar & Aleksandr Nedovyesov in the second round in Adelaide 6-4, 6-4.
Samantha Murray Sharan with Angelica Moratelli were defeated by Kristina Mladenovic & Caroline Garcia in the quarter-final in Adelaide 6-2, 5-7, 10-5.
Jamie Murray with Michael Venus were defeated by Sander Gille & Joran Vliegen in the first round in Auckland 7-6(10), 4-6, 10-4.
Julian Cash with Robert Galloway were defeated by Nathaniel Lammons & Jackson Withrow in the quarter-final in Auckland 3-6, 7-5, 10-2.
Scott Duncan with Kelsey Stevenson were defeated by Sun Fajing & Francis Alcantara in the first round in Nonthaburi 6-4, 7-6(4).
Arthur Fery & Joshua Paris were defeated by Luke Johnson & Skander Mansouri in the quarter-final in Nonthaburi 0-0 (RET).
Luke Johnson with Skander Mansouri were defeated by Manuel Guinard & Gregoire Jacq in the semi-final in Nonthaburi 6-4, 7-6(3).
