When mixing sports and luxury, Louis Vuitton has once again showcased its craftsmanship at the 2024 Australian Open. During the much talked about Men’s Final, the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup, awarded to the champion Jannik Sinner, was presented in a specially designed Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk. The iconic fashion house, instantly synonymous with luxury, has created their latest masterpiece that merges tradition with contemporary elegance.

The trophy presentation was graced by Oscar and two times Golden Globe-nominated actress Ana de Armas, serving as a Louis Vuitton House Ambassador, alongside two-time Australian Open champion (1992 and 1993), Jim Courier. Ana de Armas captivated the audience in a stunning ensemble from Louis Vuitton, featuring a long-sleeved circle wrap vinyl blouse, a Bouclé Monogram mini skirt with front pockets, and Silhouette ankle boots. Her outfit was complemented by exquisite pieces from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection, including Blossom mini hoops, an earcuff, and an open ring, all crafted in pink gold and diamonds.

The Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk today serves as a symbol of the Maison’s rich heritage and unparalleled craftsmanship. Handcrafted by seasoned artisans in Louis Vuitton’s historic ateliers in Asnières, just outside Paris, the trunk is a work of art in itself. It is adorned with the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas and features classic lozine leather trim, brass corner protectors, lock, and clasps that have been a hallmark of Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s.

Adding to its distinctiveness, the trunk’s two front panels are painted with a striking white ‘V’ representing both ‘Victory‘ and ‘Vuitton‘. The interior is lined with blue microfibre, matching the Australian Open’s color palette and signature blue courts. The underside of the lid proudly displays the Australian Open logo, a white ‘AO’, symbolizing the fusion of sports and luxury fashion.
