The former world No. 5 player swept aside the likes of Facundo Diaz Acosta and Hugo Gaston in the initial round of the Australian Open. In the third-round match, Taylor Fritz recently defeated the unseeded Hungarian Fábián Marozsán with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2.

Following his brilliant victory,  Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, who has also traveled to Melbourne, has recently opened up about how she will eat a ‘jar of vegemite’ if the American player prevails in the next round. In her latest Instagram post, the popular influencer said, “if @taylor_fritz wins again ill eat a jar of vegemite on live”

Vegemite is a popular dark brown Australian dish that is salty, slightly bitter, malty, and has an umami flavor. If the current number 12 player prevails in his next match, his girlfriend has decided to eat a jar of vegemite. However, it won’t be an easy assignment for Fritz, as a big challenge now awaits him in the fourth round of the Grand Slam event.

After his recent victory, the American ATP star will now lock horns with the 7th-seeded Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in a blockbuster fourth-round match at the John Cain Arena. Just like Fritz, the former world No. 3 player has also performed well in the tournament, outclassing some of the top guns like Jordan Thompson and Zizou Bergs.

In his third-round meeting with Luca Van Assche, Tsitsipas thumped the Frenchman while pulling a bagel set as he clinched a victory with a score of 6-3, 6-0, 6-4. Given their recent performances, the matchup between Fritz and Tsitsipas can turn out to be an absolute entertainer.
