HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women’s tennis team will continue nonconference play with three matches on tap this week, including the 2024 home opener.
SLU (0-2) plays host to visiting Jackson State (0-0) Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex to open the week’s action. The Lions then begin a four-match road swing, starting with a 1 p.m. match at Grambling (0-0) Friday. The week’s action wraps up with a noon match at Louisiana Christian (0-2) Saturday.
Southeastern has opened the spring with road losses at LSU and Southern Miss. Bogi Csordas and Taisia Bolsova each have singles victories to their credit this spring. Csordas and Alba Perez teamed for the Lions’ lone doubles win on the No. 3 court at USM.
Both of Southeastern’s first two opponents on the week will be opening their respective spring schedules. LCU will be looking for its first win of the spring Saturday, after opening 2024 with losses to Louisiana Tech and Southern Arkansas.
Following the trio of matches this week, Southeastern will head up the east coast to face Southland Conference foes NJIT (Feb. 9) and Bryant (Feb. 11).
