Tesha Crawford Joins New Regency as EVP, Head of International Television


New Regency has tapped Tesha Crawford to serve as their executive vice president, head of International Television.

Crawford will be based in the U.K. and will oversee the company’s expanding global television slate and lead its international development and production strategy. The industry vet will be reporting to New Regency Chairman and CEO Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann, president of Motion Pictures and Television.

In a statement, Milchan said, “We are thrilled to welcome Tesha to New Regency. Her deep international experience and strategic insight make her uniquely qualified to lead this next chapter of our global television expansion.”

New Regency continues to expand its cross-platform slate, with upcoming feature projects including “Blood Meridian” — based on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy’s novel, written by Oscar winner John Logan and directed by John Hillcoat — and “Watch Dogs,” an adaptation of Ubisoft’s best-selling video game franchise starring Tom Blyth and Sophie Wilde.

Additional recent and upcoming titles from New Regency include Steve McQueen’s “Blitz” (Apple TV+); “The Bikeriders” (Focus Features); an untitled Elon Musk documentary from Alex Gibney (HBO); “2073,” by Asif Kapadia; and “Jimi,” a Jimi Hendrix documentary from Emmy nominee Bao Nguyen.

Among the company’s TV projects are “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” (Prime Video); a “Malcolm in the Middle” limited series (Disney); “Man on Fire,” based on the film of the same name (Netflix); and “Prime Target,” starring Leo Woodall (Apple TV+).

Crawford’s hiring reflects the company’s deepening investment in international storytelling and content partnerships. Her appointment underscores a long-term vision to cultivate original, high-quality programming for global audiences, while leveraging New Regency’s creative agility and long-standing industry relationships.

Crawford brings extensive experience in international film and television development, with a strong track record of building acclaimed scripted series across global markets. She most recently served as senior vice president of Global Scripted Series at Universal International Studios, where she led the U.K.-based creative team and drove international expansion.

Crawford spent over six years at Netflix, where she helped launch its International Originals team (now Local Language Originals). She began by building the platform’s first original slate in Latin America. She later led Netflix’s Nordics series team from Amsterdam. In her most recent role in London, she managed global franchises, including “The Witcher” and “Millarworld.”
