Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 1 to attend Cripple Creek’s party of the year. This annual celebration is a fundraiser for The Old Homestead House Museum everyone is welcome to join in the fun, this year’s party is being held at the Chamonix Hotel and Casino, in their Grande Salon Ballroom.
The 26th annual Pearl’s Follies fundraiser will benefit the Old Homestead Museum. Going to the bigger venue will allow more people to enjoy our event. Their special guest entertainer this year, Wayne Faust, who is known for his great humor and musical talents, local talent will be opening for him you won’t want to miss the fun! They remain committed to being the event where Cripple Creek locals come together to celebrate their community, Colorado history, and good times with loved ones.
The Old Homestead was built in 1896 and was the most elegant brothel in the Cripple Creek Mining District during its heyday. Since 1958, the house has been operated as a museum and has been a public favorite ever since. With the continued support of the community, this treasure will be around for many generations to come.
They know how important it is for locals to reconnect after a long winter of probably not seeing much of anyone. So, they’re opening their doors at 5 p.m. for cocktail hour with a cash bar (because who needs hibernation rules when there’s a party?). A light meal will be served around 6 p.m., giving you plenty of time to catch up on all the local gossip. Then, once everyone’s comfortably stuffed and seated, they’ll put on a show! After the show, dust off your dancing shoes (or just shuffle your feet a bit, we won’t judge) and enjoy some music. Tickets are $35 per person, or $280 for a table of eight (because sharing is caring). All tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so grab yours before they’re gone – you don’t want to be the only one stuck at home wondering what everyone else is talking about. The evening also features our popular silent auction and a few exciting live auction items.
Call 719-689-2485 to order tickets or visit their website to purchase online. They are still looking for sponsors and items for the auctions as well. If you can help with any of these needs, call them. Charlotte at 719-689-2485 or Kirstie at 719-371-6238.
