The Army has decided to delete a statement published on its website about Kate Middleton’s upcoming attendance at Trooping the Colour in June.
This assertion generated uncertainty after Kensington Palace said that her participation had not been confirmed.
The website had been selling tickets for the military event, which included an image of Catherine and a statement implying that she would be reviewing troops on June 8th.
However, it was discovered that the Army did not acquire consent from the palace before publicizing this information.
Typically, confirmation of senior royals’ attendance at such gatherings is made closer to the event day.
According to sources, the Army’s decision to publish event details was based on the princess’ role as Colonel of the Irish Guards, which is slated to march its colors during this year’s celebration.
Kensington Palace retains sole power to confirm the Princess of Wales’ commitments, which have been temporarily halted since her stomach surgery in January for an unclear reason.
While Palace reports a fair recovery, her return to public responsibilities is not expected until after Easter.
Notably, the Army website indicated that King Charles III will take part in the final parade on June 15th.
However, Buckingham Palace has not confirmed his appearance. Despite this, the Army’s website will not change this piece.
