The Best Beauty Looks From the 2025 Met Gala

Channeling Old Hollywood through a modern lens, Sydney Sweeney stunned at the 2025 Met Gala with a glamorously sculpted look inspired by the iconic Kim Novak. Makeup artist Melissa Hernandez brought the vision to life using Armani Beauty and Laneige. “We wanted Sydney’s makeup to embody the essence of Kim Novak’s iconic 1950s glam. We went for a signature cat eye and added jet black liner along the lower lash line to give it a modern edge.”

Sweeney’s skin was prepped with Laneige essentials, including the Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer Mist, Bouncy & Firm Serum, and, for priming the skin for makeup, the Glowy Makeup Serum. “Syd always loves how refreshing this step feels, especially before a long glam session. It gives the skin a juicy, plump base and melts right in.” For complexion, Hernandez reached for Armani’s cult-favorite Luminous Silk Foundation and Concealer for a radiant second-skin finish. A sun-kissed flush came courtesy of the new Luminous Silk Cheek Tint Shine in shade 62S, topped with the Aqua Highlighter for added glow. Eyes were defined using the Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow and Smooth Silk Eyeliner, while a bold cat eye and Vertigo Lift Mascara sealed in the drama. A blend of Lip Power Matte Lipstick and Prisma Glass Lip Gloss in Nude Glow completed the look—sleek, sultry, and shimmering.

To finish up Sweeney’s look, Glen Oropeza teamed up with Kérastase to create a chic hairstyle. Oropeza started with Kérastase Genesis Defense Thermique Heat Protecting Spray, added Kérastate Gloss Absolu Glaze Drops to decrease frizz and add shine, and finished the sleek bun with Kérastase Laque Extreme Hair Spray.
