Some weeks, traditional glamour shines on the red carpets, but this week, celebrities took refreshing risks. The best dressed stars experimented with proportions, gravitating towards pieces like ruffles, full skirts, and skin-tight vests that commanded attention.
At the Time100Next gala, actor Rachel Zegler slipped into an off-white Dior Couture gown that featured a spliced skirt. Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone also glowed at the event, wearing a printed dress by the Indigenous label Burning Wagon Designs, paired with a chic leather Hermès trench. In a more casual moment, Taylor Swift emerged on the streets of New York wearing a Stella McCartney rugby shirt as a dress, complete with leather knee boots—a perfect off-duty fall look.
On the West Coast, meanwhile, stars continued playing around with voluminous silhouettes. At The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner, Janelle Monáe slipped into Greta Constantine’s red mini dress, complete with ruffled sleeves. Jennifer Lopez also embraced ruffles in a shiny green Tom Ford dress, which had details such as a plunging neckline and leg slit. An edgier ensemble in Santa Monica, though, was Kylie Jenner’s head-to-toe leather look, complete with a skin-tight vest and pants. Both pieces are from her recently-announced label, Khy. She’s her own muse!
