The Classic Center Cultural Foundation announced that applications are now open for its 2025–2026 Community Grant Program, according to a press release. Each year, the foundation awards up to $5,000 in grant funding to support initiatives in performing, visual or culinary arts and workforce development projects in Athens-Clarke County.
The deadline to apply is Friday, Aug. 22, at 5 p.m. A committee will review the applications and select recipients. Recipients will be announced in September 2025.
Applicants must submit a completed application, a detailed project proposal and a one-year timeline for project completion. Eligible projects may include events, performances and educational programs.
Some examples of past projects include funds for public art in a local park, creating a hospitality pathway for local high school students and assisting with after-school arts programs for children.
The grant is limited to programs or organizations in Athens-Clarke County.
