The Creators of Young Sheldon Have Announced a Spin-Off Series

The Young Sheldon show is increasing its reach.

CBS has officially approved a Young Sheldon spinoff series centered on Georgie and Mandy for the 2024-2025 season.

Montana Jordan and Emily Osment will play recast recurring roles as Georgie and Mandy raise their family in Texas.

The spinoff series’ title has yet to be announced.

The series, which was first reported to be in the works in January, will be a multi-camera comedy rather than a single-camera show.

Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland, the creators of Young Sheldon and the mothership show The Big Bang Theory, are also behind the new series.

“It has been a privilege to spend the last seven years with Sheldon and the Cooper family, and this wonderful journey will now continue with Georgie and Mandy,” said Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment.

“Chuck and both Steves have done a masterful job developing these characters and entertaining generations of fans with relatable, heartwarming stories brought to life by Montana and Emily. We eagerly look forward to the next chapter in this beloved universe.”

The spinoff series order was announced during the continuing airing of Young Sheldon’s seventh and final season.
