The fashion, beauty and accessories buys Best Picks editor is obsessed with this month

Is it just me, or is this year absolutely racing along?

No sooner was it February than March came along, and now we’re almost halfway through — and I’m still out here thinking it’s January.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t had the opportunity to test, trial and wear a great number of new bits and pieces that are now firm favourites in my life.

From the loose powder that has become a daily staple in my beauty regime to the wear-everywhere shoes I can’t get enough of, below I reveal the seven things I’ve been shopping — and loving — in March.

1. Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder, $105, Sephora

You might have seen this one all over TikTok, but it was only recently that I got my hands on the Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in Mousseline Pastel ($105; Sephora).

And as much as I love cream formulas and dewy makeup, there is no denying how fabulous this product is at setting your makeup — and keeping it there for the entire day.

It’s not just setting that Prisme Libre is fantastic for either.

It also completely brightens the under-eye area — no concealer required! — and somehow gives my complexion a more poreless look.

When you first open it, you’ll notice that one single container contains four different shades of powder.

Two of them are for brightening, while the other two are quintessential correcting shades.

I swirl all of them around together and dab it over the areas where I get oily or need my makeup to set, such as my undereyes, T-zone and a little on my cheeks.

Since starting to use the product, I’ve had colleagues ask whether I’ve changed foundation or moisturiser (I haven’t).

This truly is a holy grail beauty investment.

I got these shoes a few weeks ago, and have quite honestly lived in them ever since.

I rarely find heels comfortable, but this tiny kitten heel height is both wear-everywhere enough to reach for it even when going to work, and flattering enough to justify heading to an event afterwards.

I have the Chocolate Leather shade, but there is also a Bone and Black Leather option if cream or black are more your style.

The shoes boast a 100 per cent leather upper and lining, woven leather upper and approximately 5.5 centimetre heel.

Okay, well this new small tote bag from July is nothing short of divine.

Made from the most buttery soft leather, it’s the perfect addition to your workwear wardrobe — and it’s still big enough to fit a laptop inside it if you’re commuting.

As is always the case with July, there are plenty of hidden features that make this bag a cut above the rest, too.

With a fully suede inner lining, the bag also has a removable pass-through band to slide over luggage handles when you’re at the airport.

There’s also a detachable cross-body strap, depending on how you want to wear it.

I’ve been a fan of No. 22 Homewares for a while now.

Their colourful homewares add a feeling of fun to any table, and my most recent investment in the Capri Blue Dinner Plates is frequently complimented.

This is why I was all over these new wine glass sets.

Available in sets of two in four different colours, the $49 glasses add the perfect degree of kitsch to your table and they’re currently available for pre-order.

We all know by now that supplementing with some form of collagen daily is one of the easiest ways to not only boost our health, but help our hair, skin and nails.

But if you’re anything like me, you’ll hate swilling around hard-to-dissolve powders in water and holding your nose while you skull back your daily greens.

Well, this will now be a thing of the past thanks to The Beauty Chef’s new Plumpers.

For $45, you can get your hands on an entire box of chewable tablets, which have been specially designed to support collagen production, skin elasticity and hydration.

Available in three delicious flavours, you can choose from Kakadu Plum & Berry, Orange & Turmeric and Chocolate.

Each tub contains 25 serves or 75 collagen chewable tablets.

6. The Lowdown in Butter, $419, Mustard Made

I’ve been obsessed with these colourful storage lockers by Aussie sisters Becca and Jess Stern since they came on to my radar last year.

And the latest colourway — which launched last month — is no exception.

The butter hue makes the perfect sunshine addition to any kids’ bedroom and I plan to invest in one for my daughter, Florence’s, first grown up room when she moves out of the cot in a couple of months.

Mustard Made was recently named the 68th fastest-growing private company in Britain by the Sunday Times, having enjoyed a 66.5 per cent sales growth over the past three years.

The latest colourway to join the Mustard rainbow offers a new pastel with depth.

“Our mellow yellow, the Butter to our Mustard, she’s a fresh take on the classic French Provincial colour,” the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Mustard Becca Stern told Best Picks of the new tone.

“Butter may be a soft and cosy shade, but she packs a punch.

“Style Butter with Ocean for a coastal look, Poppy for a red-hot surprise, or Mustard for a sunny, golden power couple.

“A little Butter warms a pastel lineup, while Butter and Sage is a classic culinary pairing for good reason!”

7. Echo Hub, $329, Amazon

I have had the pleasure of road-testing this revolutionary new device for the past three weeks, and can safely say it has surprised me in becoming my favourite tech gadget in our house.

The clever Echo Hub makes it super easy to organise all the devices in your home, from security cameras to alarm systems, lights, locks, plugs, blinds and thermostats.

And I now can’t remember life without it.

I love that it can do everything from one place (rather than being locked in one person’s phone).

Easy to use, you simply need to ask Alexa, or tap the display, to do everything from control the lights and smart plugs in your home, see camera feeds or play music.

Since having it in our kitchen, we have loved being able to sync our calendars to one main device — so you can see who is doing what (and who is on child pick-up) before walking out the door.

I’ve also been loving playing music from the speaker while cooking, setting timers through Alexa when prepping food and adding specific items to a shopping list — so we don’t forget to stock up when we’re next out.

* Bose QuietComfort Headphones SE, $280.46, Amazon
