Wisconsin now has a task force which will study how artificial intelligence can help create jobs in the state.
Thirty people have been appointed by Governor Evers to the new Task Force on Workforce and Artificial Intelligence, which will meet for the first time on Monday, October 30th.
Committee members include leaders in technology businesses, and labor union members, along with the state school superintendent and the presidents of the UW System and the Technical College System. A prominent appointee from the Coulee Region is Missy Hughes from Vernon County, the secretary of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
Evers first announced in August that he would put together an AI task force. In a news release, the governor says the group will try to advance workers, employers, and job seekers as AI technology changes the workplace.
