From the moment Rihanna was announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, rumors have been swirling about her making her long-awaited music comeback. Now, The Daily Mail is reporting that the Grammy-winning superstar has signed a deal worth $38.9 million with entertainment giant Live Nation. The outlet’s sources also claim the “Diamonds” singer has two albums of new tracks ready and is planning a huge world tour in 2024.
“Rihanna is quietly planning a comeback tour after signing with Live Nation,” an insider told the outlet. “The deal was created to facilitate a world tour and her creative team is quietly at work in Los Angeles putting it all together as she raises her family.”
The Daily Mail is a tabloid, so you should take all this with a grain of salt. And apparently, the Navy already knows not to get their hopes up, because on Saturday, when this news made the internet rounds, “Does Rihanna know?” started trending. The Fenty mogul is the type of artist who creates on her own terms. When she decides to return to music full-time, she will likely just drop a new song out of nowhere and blow all our minds.
The good news is that if she does release another album and hit the road again, we certainly know that she still has it. Her epic floating stage Super Bowl Halftime performance definitely reminded everyone why we fell in love with her in the first place. And her Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever let us know she hasn’t lost her creative touch.
At the moment, Rih seems perfectly happy to spend time with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their sons RZA and Riot. Just let this woman live her best family life as a mom, and she will let you know when she’s ready to once again dominate the music world.
