Vanessa Hudgens’ wedding was all she could have wished for.
Hudgens, 34, and her now-husband, Cole Tucker, 27, tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Azulik City of Arts in Tulum, Mexico, over the weekend, surrounded by approximately 100 of their closest friends and family, including officiant Jay Shetty.
In a Vogue interview published Tuesday, the actress said, “It was the most magical weekend of my life. I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding,” she says, noting that she “took everyone’s phones away.”
The High School Musical alum then described her “overwhelming” wedding planning process, which included everything from choosing a venue to completing her wedding gown.
Hudgens stated that she “fell in love” with the “whimsical and magical” location, which is located “45 minutes into the jungle,” the first time she saw it.
The blushing bride walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang white cowl-slip dress and a cape-like tulle veil embroidered with “Mrs. T December 2nd 2023” in gothic writing. Her bridesmaids were dressed in bronze gowns.
Tucker, meanwhile, wore an off-white double-breasted jacket with tan trousers.
“Seeing each other at the altar for the first time is the most emotional moment of my life,” Hudgens recounted, adding that she had to take a breather as she approached the altar.
The couple then read each other’s handwritten wedding vows.
Hudgens changed into a semi-sheer reception gown after the ceremony and enjoyed a night filled with wonderful food, poignant speeches, live music, and dancing.
“I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations,” Hudgens said of her wedding.
