The LSU Basketball Player Faints During Biden’s Speech at the White House

President Joe Biden was giving a speech at the White House to honor the women’s basketball national winners when forward Sa’Myah Smith from Louisiana State University passed out.

The president stopped speaking while White House doctors rushed to help the player into a wheelchair and take her out of the room to get checked out. Later, Smith’s coach, Kim Mulkey, said that Smith was “fine” but that the event embarrassed her and that she wished she could have stayed for the rest of the ceremony. “She’s fine, it’s happened to a lot of people,” Biden told the crowd. A month ago, the Bidens got into some trouble with the LSU team after the First Lady said she would also bring the runner-up team, Iowa State, to the White House. Jill Biden quickly took back what she said, and at the event, she was seen hugging actress Angel Reese, who had called the first lady’s offer “A JOKE” and said she would rather visit the Obamas.
