The Met x Eichholtz Collection Adds History to Home Décor

Turn your home into a museum with furniture from around the world! The Metropolitan Museum of Art welcomes Eichholtz to its home décor licensing program to deliver a collection of furniture, lighting, and more, all inspired by pieces from the famous museum.

Eichholtz is a leading furniture retailer company that focuses on luxury items for modern lifestyles. This historic collection features more than 80 products, each telling different stories from around the world. Visitors can view and buy various items inspired by historical art and artifacts, including armchairs, sculpture reproductions, statues, rugs, wall art, home accessories, and lamps.

Visitors who spend time at The Met can experience historical pieces inspired by various periods. Now, consumers can bring that same vibe to their home decor. For example, you can buy a chair inspired by the 1788 Armchair from Louis XVI’s Salon des Jeux at Saint Cloud. Art lovers can also purchase a lamp designed to look like the God Horis Protecting King Nectanebo II bust from 360 B.C.

The Eichholtz collection is based on some of the 1.5 million works of art found in the museum. Eichholtz joins The Met’s licensed merchandise collection alongside popular brands such as Ann Gish, Caspari, Pura, Exquisite Rugs, Abner Henry, Scalamandré, and Wendover Art Group.

The public can now purchase items from The Met x Eichholtz Collection online and in Eichholtz retail stores. To learn more about the collection, visit eichholtz.com.
