The island’s automotive landscape is set for a thrilling shake-up as the Jamaica Auto Show (JAS) officially launched its highly anticipated 2025 edition. Promising an unprecedented showcase of vehicular variety, the two-day extravaganza will take place at the National Arena and National Indoor Sports Complex on May 10 and 11.

Forget hopping between showrooms across the island! For the first time, Jamaica will witness a dynamic, international-calibre display featuring the full spectrum of vehicles available locally. From the latest models of popular everyday rides and robust commercial vehicles to the timeless elegance of classic cars and the adrenaline-pumping power of race machines, JAS 2025 aims to be the ultimate destination for every automotive enthusiast, potential buyer, and industry professional.

Mellissa Tulloch, the show director, expressed her excitement. “The Jamaica Auto Show is poised to inject some serious pre-summer energy into the scene,” she stated. “We envision it as a vibrant hub where connections are forged, and attendees can immerse themselves in the innovation, style, and sheer power of the automotive world.”

The event has secured a powerful title sponsor in JPS Charge ‘n Go, underscoring a significant theme for the future of Jamaican mobility. Blaine Jarrett, senior vice-president for energy delivery at the Jamaica Public Service, highlighted the critical need for embracing electric vehicles for a healthier environment. “The launch of the Jamaica Auto Show isn’t just another event. It signals the dawn of an exciting new era for how Jamaica moves,” Jarrett emphasised. “Our theme, ‘Explore. Dream. Drive,’ encapsulates the possibilities, the energy, and the motion that awaits come May 10th and 11th.”

Jarrett also pointed to the increasing vehicle density on Jamaican roads, noting a significant 42% rise since 2012. He stressed the environmental implications and the necessity for a smarter, cleaner approach to transportation, positioning electric vehicles as a key solution for the “land of wood and water”.

Organised through a collaboration between Main Event Entertainment Group, Mystique Integrated, and iPrint Group, the Jamaica Auto Show boasts impressive support from key players in various sectors, including Bert’s Auto Parts, Scotiabank Jamaica, Digicel Jamaica, CIBC Caribbean, S Hotel, and Touchstone Link.

The impressive roster of automotive brands confirmed to participate reads like a who’s who of the Jamaican market: BAIC, Toyota Jamaica, Subaru, Ford, Isuzu, Changan, Jetour, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Jaguar Land Rover, Mitsubishi, GWM, GWM Tank, Honda Bikes, Tesla, Nissan, Hyundai, BYD, Audi, Kia, MG, Porsche, Foton, MINI, BMW, Honda, and Shacman.
