Every March for many years until their final show there in 2014, The Allman Brothers Band would play several weeks of shows at the Beacon Theatre on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

The dates often overlapped with the Big East Tournament, so it was possible, in a given week, to see a couple of Allmans shows and several nights of college basketball without leaving the West Side of Manhattan.
