You can’t stop the beat.
The 27th annual Pennsylvania Drum Show will return for its second year at Mickey’s Black Box on Sunday, Nov. 24.
In 2023, Adam Stec, owner of Lancaster business Drums Etc., brought the event to Lancaster County for the first time. The show was previously held at venues in Selinsgrove, Snyder County and Sunbury, Northumberland County. Read more in LNP | LancasterOnline’s 2023 interview with Stec.
Last year, drummer Ed Toth was initially scheduled to give a drum clinic. But those plans changed when Toth joined the Doobie Brothers on the road as they opened for the Eagles’ farewell tour.
Toth, who has also played with “Everything You Want” hitmakers Vertical Horizon, will host a drum clinic at this year’s event.
The event also offers drums and accessories for sale, musical performances and more.
The event runs from 1-7 p.m. and admission costs $15. VIP tickets cost $25 and allow one hour of early access.
Each ticket includes a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a drum set, cymbals, snare drums and more.
Schedule highlights include:
— A 2 p.m. performance by The Love Drums
— A 3 p.m. drum circle
— Interviews for the “Drum Key Podcast” hosted by Cory Rosen
— A 5 p.m. drum clinic with Ed Toth
— Drums, cymbals and accessories for sale, including goods from brands like Gretsch and Paiste, as well as vintage items
— A chance to sell drums and accessories on consignment
Mickey’s Black Box is located on Rock Lititz’ campus at 101 Rock Lititz Blvd, Lititz.
