According to The Things, it’s possible that the 32-year-old Australian stuntman knew his wife’s mother, who died in January 2023.

Page Six says that Riley and Lisa Marie were “close,” which would make many people think that Ben also liked her.

Smith-Petersen and his wife, Riley Keough, did go to the funeral of Lisa Marie Presley. And according to Today.com, he gave Riley’s heartfelt letter to her. Also, he sounded sad when he spoke at Lisa Marie’s wake, which showed how close they were.

In an interview with Vogue Australia, the 34-year-old Daisy Jones & the Six actor said that she met the “boy from Byron Bay” while filming Mad Max: Fury Road. She remembered “the whirlwind trip to Sydney, a romance that began with a midnight swim and is suffused with all the magic of a perfect Australian summer.”

They got married in February 2015 and had their first child in secret in 2022.

When Lisa Marie died in January 2023, the couple found out that they had their first child. During the funeral service at Elvis Presley’s Graceland home a few hours earlier, the stuntman had made a few hints about the baby’s arrival.

“Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart,” Smith-Petersen said at the funeral while reading his wife’s speech.
