The Royal Family May Sue Piers Morgan for Defamation

Piers Morgan, a British television personality, appears to have shot himself in the foot by exposing unverified charges about suspected “racism” in the royal family.

The 58-year-old faces defamation charges from the royal family after naming royals in a racist claims storm on his show, eliciting outrage from royal followers.

The former Good Morning Britain (GMB) broadcaster reportedly named the two alleged ‘racist’ royals on his show “Uncensored” on Wednesday (November 29), and the channel topped its news bulletins with the story on Thursday.

TalkTV has apparently broadcast the identities several times and published them on its website, but other sister channels have neglected to identify the royals in question.

It comes after the publication of Omid Scobie’s explosive book “Endgame” and the finding that the Dutch-language edition of the book named the two senior royals accused of making offensive comments regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie’s skin tone.

Scobie, on the other hand, has described it as a “translation error” and has stated that he never created a version of the book that included the names. The copies were now pulped.

There are rumors that members of the royal family may sue the presenter over his provocative claims. Piers Morgan, who has frequently defended The Firm in the aftermath of Harry and Meghan’s charges, appears to be in hot water with his latest stunt.

Scobie reiterated his distancing from the inaccuracy in the Dutch versions of Endgame during an interview with ITV, saying, “I had never submitted a book that had their names in it, so I can only talk about my version. I am obviously frustrated, I would not say I am upset about it.”

“I have been operating in a bubble of no emotion for ten days.”

Scobie confirmed in the run-up to the release of “Endgame” that he knew the identities of the two royals who reportedly made the comments about Prince Archie, but he did not name the royals due to UK law.

The royal author stated, “Laws in the United Kingdom prevent me from reporting who they were.”

However, it is still unknown why the Dutch translation of “Endgame” listed specific people when no other international translations do.

In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle stated that there were “concerns and conversations” among the royal family about how black Prince Archie’s complexion would be when he was born.
