The Star of ‘Shazam’ Responds to Fans on Twitter After the Film Bombed

Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Zachary Levi communicated with fans on Twitter after the film did poorly at the box office.

On Twitter, the DC film’s lead actor addressed the film’s poor box office performance.

One Twitter user told the 42-year-old actor, “I’ve liked you since ‘Chuck,’ and it’s unfortunate that ‘Shazam 2’ underperformed at the box office. However, I do not believe Snyder fans should be held accountable; they are, after all, a minority. I believe there are too many chefs in the WB kitchen. You and David are two cool dudes.

“Hmm,” responded Levi. Where did you get the notion that I blame Snyder supporters?”

Another fan tweeted, “However, it is undeniable that there are currently a great number of Snyder fans who are pleased with the failure of your film, and many of them wish that everything that is to come fails simply for not continuing with the director’s films.”

The actor from Chuck responded, “This is also true. Sad but accurate Nobody knows how much this actually affects the box office. However, I believe that marketing is our biggest obstacle. Despite the fact that this is an ideal family film, many families are unaware of this fact. Which is truly regrettable.”

Levi also clarified his position on Snyder fans by stating, “I have no problem with Snyder fans. I’ve seen nearly all of his films myself. My issue is with those who wish to destroy something simply because it is not to their liking. This is the result of hatred, not love.”

One of the lowest critical scores goes to Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
