A green garden mantis in Tehatta, West Bengal, India. It is one of the approximately 1,800 species of praying mantis found around the world. The green garden mantis is remarkably cannibalistic: meetings between siblings in maturity often end with one eating the other, and females sometimes consume the males during the mating process
