Weidner attendance and ticket sales have increased
The Broadway season is in partnership with Innovation Arts and Entertainment, a Chicago-based company that promotes 500 shows a year in 125 cities across North America. The company has done nearly 20 shows at The Weidner since 2018.
It’s an example of the venue’s commitment to partnering with other organizations in its programming, including the establishment of the Weidner Philharmonic with the Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music and the announcement in May of collaborating with the Brown County Civic Music Association to present national and international classical music artists at The Weidner for Virtuosi Live!
Venue tickets sales have tripled since 2018, Weidner executive and artistic director Kelli Strickland said during the Broadway announcement. Attendance has increased five times since the same year. Last year’s ¡Estamos Aqui!, an outdoor Hispanic arts and culture festival founded in 2023 in partnership with local Latino and Latina leaders, drew 12,000 people in its second year, Strickland said.
