The Woodlands Arts Council (TWAC) Board of Directors is proud to welcome four new members who bring fresh insights and valuable skills to the impact-making organization. Celebrating 20 years of Making Art Matter in Montgomery County, TWAC is exceptionally grateful for the board members renewing their commitment to the arts and those stepping away after years of dedicated service. The four new board members are Dr. Lisa Davis, Cameron Klepac, Russell Leto, and Laura Snyder. Each of them brings a unique set of skills and experience that will further the mission of The Woodlands Arts Council which includes events like the upcoming Texas Fine Craft Show, scheduled for November 1, 2 & 3, 2024, and with programs like Student Art Scholarships (Applications open November 5, 2024) Learn more about TWAC’s ongoing mission here.

Dr. Lisa Davis has worked in public education for over 20 years. Formerly a secondary art teacher, she is now a Fine Arts Specialist with Conroe ISD. Through this role, she assists teachers throughout the district with their programs, curriculum, and classroom management. In addition, she coordinates numerous competitions, exhibits, and events for the Fine Arts department –servicing all disciplines of the arts. Dr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Curriculum Design, and an Education Doctorate specializing in Educational Leadership.
Cameron Klepac joined The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion staff in April 2016. She is the Director of Marketing & Education for the venue, overseeing the overall marketing, communications, and public relations efforts, as well as the production of all performing arts and educational outreach programs. Cameron’s role allows her to tell the story of The Pavilion’s mission, conveying the impact performing arts has on the community. Before this, she managed marketing and events for Visit The Woodlands and Sam Houston State University. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications-Public Relations and a Master of Business Administration, both from Sam Houston State University. She also serves on the Visit The Woodlands Board of Directors.
Russell Leto is the President of Landmark Aquatic, LLC, which combines several companies to provide innovative aquatic solutions. He joined Progressive Commercial Aquatics in March 2019 and became President/CEO in January 2020. Russell has a solid financial and business background, previously serving as CFO for Round Hill Investments and Permanent Capital. His experience includes roles at EIM USA, Muzinich & Company, and BDO USA. He also served on the Board of The Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York City and graduated from the State University of New York, Oswego, College at Oswego, and earned his CPA license in the state of NY.
Laura Snyder, born and raised in The Woodlands, has a deep passion for the arts and design, drawing inspiration from nature. In 2018, she founded her design company, Lines & Curves, focusing on solving business problems with visual communication. With 15 years of experience across cities like Chicago, Denver, San Diego, and Houston, she has worked with notable brands such as Microsoft, Hulu, P&G, J&J, Corona, Kraft, and Kellogg’s. Laura holds a BA in Journalism from Louisiana State University and a BA in Visual Communications from the Illinois Institute of Art. Her other passion is working with Young Rembrandts, an enrichment drawing program that focuses on developing all areas of learning (visual, auditory, and tactile) through creativity.
“We are blessed with a talented, dedicated, and passionate board. These new members are already embracing their new roles, and I look forward to their input over the coming years,” said Glen Rector, President of TWAC. “I am grateful for their commitment to the arts and our community!”
The board also welcomes back the following members who are renewing their terms: Ted Harris, Michael Goodwin, and Michael Ellis are renewing for their second term; Jayla Davis is renewing for her third term, and Jerry MacDonald is renewing for his seventh term.
“We deeply appreciate the ongoing commitment of these devoted board members,” stated Jenny Carattini-Wright, Executive Director & CEO of TWAC. “Their leadership has played a crucial role in our achievements, and we eagerly anticipate the valuable contributions they will continue to offer in the years ahead. This includes our new initiatives, like the Texas Fine Craft Show, scheduled for November 1-3, 2024, along with our ongoing programs and events.”

The board would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Corinne Coulter and Paul Pettie for their service and dedication to TWAC during their three years on the board. Coulter brought valued ideas to the Because Art Matters Committee and Pettie contributed to many marketing initiatives and served as Chair of the 2023 Art Dash Party.
Finally, James Stilwell, former Board president 2021-2022, joined the advisory committee. TWAC is thankful for his seven years of service.
“As we say goodbye to these remarkable individuals, we honor their legacy and their lasting impact on The Woodlands Arts Council,” added Carattini-Wright.
TWAC remains committed to promoting the arts in its 20th year of making art matter in The Woodlands and Montgomery County. The addition of these new and returning board members will strengthen the organization’s ability to achieve its mission and serve the community.
