In 1993, he became famous because he was the health and fitness expert on GMTV. He helped people all over the country with their morning workouts.
Mr. Motivator made a happy return to daytime TV on Wednesday’s episode of This Morning with an interview. This was 30 years after his show first aired.
The 70-year-old fitness trainer impressed fans with how young he looked and how much energy he had as he talked with Holly Willoughby and Dermot O’Leary before showing them an exercise routine.
The lycra-loving legend, whose real name is Derrick Errol Evans MBE, said that the key to his attitude was his way of thinking. He said, “‘I know being positive every day means negativity doesn’t affect me. If you practice being positive, you will always be positive.”
The star, though, hasn’t always had it easy. He talked about the time when he was homeless.
During the part, people used X, which used to be called Twitter, to ask the star to stay on the show for good.
People said, “ITV needs to bring back the workout show!” I remember when Mr. Motivator was on GMTV #ThisMorning in the 1990s and got Britain going.
