This Morning’s New Anchor, Sian Welby, Confronts a ‘Similar’ Predicament as Holly Willoughby

Sian Welby, This Morning’s newest recruit, revealed that she has been dealing with a ‘weirdo’ stalker for the past ten years.

The 37-year-old TV host, who is speculated to be Holly Willoughby’s prospective full-time replacement on the ITV show due to her stellar performance, made this startling disclosure on a recent episode of the Headstrong podcast.

During the podcast, she stated, “Obviously I get a few creeps.” For the past ten years, I have had someone who wants to gunge me.

This revelation comes after Holly Willoughby returned to host Dancing On Ice after leaving This Morning, citing worries for her family’s safety following an alleged plan to abduct and murder her.

The mother-of-three, who first appeared on This Morning in 2009, explained her decision to resign in a statement, emphasizing that it was for the benefit of her family.

Gavin Plumb, 36, has pleaded not guilty to counts of soliciting murder and inciting the kidnapping of the former This Morning host. The security officer will remain in jail after being denied bail.

According to network sources, the 37-year-old Welby is a ‘rising star,’ and they are keen to give her the opportunity to exhibit her skills as a daytime programme presenter.

One source told MailOnline: ‘Sian has many years of presenting experience under her belt, she is very much ear marked as being a star of the future. She has done really well already on This Morning so the bosses thought it was time to give her the reins to the whole show rather than just segments.’

They went on to say, ‘Viewers love a new, fresh face on the show so everyone involved in it is really excited.’

Ms Welby co-hosts Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and serves as a frequent reporter for This Morning.
