Jake Shimabukuro in Olympia 

Musician Jake Shimabukuro, known for his work with the ukulele, is stopping by the Washington Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 for his Holidays in Hawai’i show. The event page describes the event as “a sensational gift to music lovers worldwide, delivering an unforgettable experience filled with joy, warmth, and the infectious charm of the ukulele.” Find out more here. 

Seattle Turkish Film Festival 

The Turkish American Cultural Association of Washington is hosting from Nov. 15-17 the 12th iteration of the Turkish Film Festival. Hosted at the SIFF Cinema Uptown, the weekend event will screen a host of Turkish screen gems, including a hush-hush movie said to be a masterpiece that’s part of Martin Scorsese’s World Cinema Project.
