Tuesday, Oct. 15th

Bike Tour | Geaux Ride

Enjoy tacos, tights and bikes with Geaux Ride. For $20, experience private night time bike tours around Baton Rouge.

Wednesday, Oct. 16th

Red Stick Spice Cooking Class | Red Stick Spice Company

The Red Stick Spice Company is teaching the community all the fats and spices that go into making a healthy, one pot dinner. Attendees will learn how to cook cajun curry crawfish, ranch chicken and broccoli skillet, shakshuka and turkey and vegetable chili from the registered dietitian Daphne Olivier and founder of The Unconventional Dietitian.

The price is $105 a person and all cooks will be partnered at a station with another individual.

Thursday, Oct. 17th

Jambalaya Jam | North Boulevard Town Square

The Capital Area United Way is hosting its largest fundraiser of the year. Jambalaya Jam combines over 45 cooking teams, who compete for the best Jambalaya in the surrounding parishes.

Tickets start at $10 and the event is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those who cannot make the event at night, can pick up to-go lunch from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 18th

Haunted Car Wash | Benny’s Car Wash

Spooky season is in full effect this Friday at Benny’s Car Wash. The fundraiser will be donating all proceeds to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. The family-friendly show begins within the first hour and after that, the more haunted it gets.

The 4th annual haunted car wash runs from Oct. 18-19, from 6 p.m.- 10 p.m. Tickets are $25 per vehicle.

Saturday, Oct. 19th

A Taste of the Deep South Festival | City Hall Building

The 8th annual Taste of the Deep South Festival takes place this weekend from Oct. 19-20 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Filled with music, art and food, this festival celebrates the deep south.

This event is free to the public.

Walk to Remember | Alzheimer’s Services

This is the largest event in the Greater Baton Rouge area that raises Alzheimer’s disease awareness. Funds raised at the walk support Alzheimer’s Services programs that provide for local families affected by the disease. This year’s walk marks the 30th Anniversary of the Annual Walk to Remember.

Entrance is free to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 20th

Rooftop Yoga | Red Stick Social

Start your week off right with relaxing rooftop yoga. Krystalight Yoga will host an hour long yoga session on the roof of Red Stick Social from 11 a.m.- 12p.m.
