GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Three people have been arrested in an Alachua County neighborhood after they were caught trying to steal a vehicle.

Around 8:00 Thursday evening, Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say the three stole the vehicle on Southwest 8th Avenue near the Hidden Oaks neighborhood.

Deputies say they found suspects when they tried to abandon the vehicle and run away.
