Three new art exhibits open the 2025 season at Highfield Hall & Gardens: “The Modern Cape” by Jeremy Wagner, Jiyoung Park and Josh Wald; “Never in Lieu of Flowers: Contemporary Botanical Sculpture” by Ginnie Peterson; and “Sourced from the Sea: Atlantic Impressions,” botanicals by Stephanie King, are on view now through June.
In “The Modern Cape” professional painters and print makers Jeremy Wagner and Jiyoung Park join multifaceted friend Josh Wald in creating a love letter to Cape Cod. Iconic images of the sea and distinctive landmarks have been a cornerstone of Cape Cod art for generations, and in “The Modern Cape” the trio takes a fresh look at the traditional subject matter, transforming it by style, scale and technique. Their work is both a salute to the traditional style that historically comes from this area, as well as an embrace of the future.
