Tiffany Haddish and Kathy Bates coordinated in monochrome palettes at the Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards Gala on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Hosted by the Los Angeles Press Club, the event recognizes outstanding entertainment journalism across multiple mediums, including print, radio and television.
Haddish, who received the honorary Vision Award for humanitarian work, opted a cream wool coat, which she layered over a seafoam green minidress featuring a bow-tie neckline. A metallic box clutch and matching silver pumps topped off her look.

The comedienne wore her brunette tresses in a braided half-updo, while her makeup consisted of a smokey eye, rosy blush and a glossy nude lip.
Bates, meanwhile, was recognized with the Legend Award, a lifetime achievement honor for contributions to society. The Oscar-winning actress selected a gray velvet suit featuring a single-breasted blazer, layering it over a satin top. Bates accessorized with sneakers, dangle earrings and a mauve lip.
In September, Haddish was a fixture at New York Fashion Week, where she sat front row and walked the runway during Monse’s spring 2025 presentation. The “Girls Trip” star modeled a boxy olive green satin suit from the brand. Fellow celebrity attendee Kathy Hilton encouraged Haddish to strut down the catwalk, as shared by the Hilton family on social media.
Per WWD’s Emily Mercer, Monse’s latest collection included sparkling evening gowns as well as “sporty striped polos in sheer pastel sequin hues,” which “offered a fresh look on the preppy trend, as did a one-of-a-kind varsity jacket.”
That same month, Bates walked the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. She made WWD’s best dressed list at the award show, where she wore a navy Giorgio Armani gown dripping in beaded embellishments.
