EXCLUSIVE: Sci-fi comedy Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox has set a May 30 theatrical launch in New York and L.A. followed by a nationwide expansion.
The film stars Samuel Dunning as a time-traveling scientist, with support from Danny Trejo, Joel McHale, Keith David, and co-stars Felicia Day, who also served as executive producer.
The theatrical release follows the movie’s festival rollout, during which it won the Jury Prize at Cinequest, FilmQuest, and the Phoenix Sci-Fi and Horror Festival, and also played at the UK’s Grimmfest and the Belgian International Fantastic Film Festival.
Tim Travers & the Time Traveler’s Paradox is the launch title for executive producer Ben Yennie’s North American theatrical distributor Disrupt Entertainment and is being released in conjunction with a digital rollout through Mill Creek Entertainment.

The comedy marks the feature debut of writer-director Stimson Snead.
Dunning stars as self-obsessed mad scientist Tim who seeks to test the Time Traveler’s Paradox by traveling back in time and killing his younger self to see if he can unmake reality. The universe remains intact, while Tim finds himself saddled with most horrible thing he can imagine: himself.
“This is a story about learning to love yourself,” said Snead. “And that’s a message we have taken to heart alongside the audiences, critics, and festivals who’ve embraced the film. It’s such a joy to finally be bringing this story of self-love to wider audience at last!”
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this film. It’s Dazzling, clever and profane. Your brain won’t know what hit you,” said co-star and executive producer Day.
Tim Travers was produced by Kylie Walchuk and Casey Cowan. The feature expands on Snead’s award-winning short of the same name, which screened at more than 30 film festivals in 2022 including winning multiple awards at Boston SciFi, Nevermore Film Festival, and FilmQuest.
The film will release digitally to transactional platforms on June 24, 2025.
