Timothée Chalamet Is Feeling Superhuman Ahead of His Hosting Appearance on Saturday Night Live

Timothée Chalamet is feeling optimistic ahead of his Saturday Night Live hosting stint this weekend. In a new SNL teaser, the actor is seen wandering into the studio, seemingly unaffected by the pandemonium around him.

The Wonka star will host Saturday Night Live on November 11th, with musical guest Boygenius.

In the film published on Wednesday, Chalamet ceremoniously comes up to the platform in Studio 8H, fully honoring the show’s heritage.

Members of the cast, Mikey Day and Sarah Sherman, watch from behind a window in dismay while he works on this, as the structure appears to be filled with toxic gas.

“Why is he in the studio while it’s being fumigated?” Day inquires of Sherman. “You’re breathing in poison!” he exclaims to the Call Me by Your Name actor.

Chalamet, for his part, responds calmly, “It’s fine. I grew up in New York. I’m immune. He can then be seen deeply inhaling the air around him.”

The Oscar-nominated actor will appear in Wonka, which opens in theaters next month, and Dune: Part Two, which will be released in the spring.

Saturday Night Live resumed its 49th season last month, following the end of the writers’ strike. Jason Momoa, from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, will host the show on November 18 alongside musical guest Tate McRae, the show announced last week.

Because of the continuing actors’ strike, the most recent episode, which featured host Nate Bargatze, aired on October 28. It included a parody of SAG-AFTRA’s rules about its members’ Halloween costumes.
