Timothée Chalamet Praises Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler in Dune 2

Timothee Chalamet and his Dune: Part Two co-stars Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler graced the digital cover of Entertainment Weekly in a profile published on Tuesday.

In a lengthy interview with the media source, the 28-year-old actor praised his co-stars as’superpower performers,’ expressing appreciation for their abilities and adaptability.

Chalamet, who recently admitted to feeling slightly apprehensive during the film’s romance moments, lauded his co-stars’ ability to perfectly merge spectacle and realism.

“They know instinctively how to exist in a movie of this size and really bring a strong presence, while also keeping the naturalism alive,” he said.

Following its premiere in March 2021, the film received both critical praise and financial success, earning six Academy Awards.

Timothee Chalamet spoke on his involvement in Dune, highlighting a key scene in which his character, Paul Atreides, makes a speech entirely in Chakobsa, a language created specifically for the film.

Recounting the event, he highlighted his excitement of immersing himself in the language during filming, underlining the effort put into adding realism to the moment.

Director Denis Villeneuve, who worked on both films, lauded his portrayal in the pivotal scene, calling it “unexpectedly emotional.”

Zendaya, who plays Chani in the next sequel, emphasized the importance of her character’s development.
