FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton’s Women’s Basketball Team hosted its annual Luau Fundraiser on Saturday, October 21st at Titan Gym. Players were accompanied by coaches, friends, family, and alumni to help make the fundraiser a success.
The event began at 12 p.m. with food and drinks while guests perused the silent auction items. After the silent auction closed and the social hour ended, the guests sat down to enjoy Hawaiian barbeque from Big B’s BBQ. Vice President and faithful athletics supporter Tonantzin Oseguera welcomed fans and thanked them for their loyal support over the years. Then, Athletic Director Jim Donovan, gave brief remarks before inviting Head Coach Jeff Harada up to introduce his coaching staff, team, and share some thoughts on last season, their summer trip to Italy, and the upcoming season.
The Titans were able to raise 99% toward their goal of $15,000. It’s not too late to help them reach even higher, helping to cover their travel costs, nutrition, gear, and more. Donations can be made here.
“Thanks to everyone who came out to support this program. I hope you enjoyed getting to know the 2023-24 team. They are a special group. I’m happy to see so much support for this program. A special thank you to my staff, team, administration, and all the alumni for sponsoring our current student athletes” says head coach Jeff Harada.
The Women’s Basketball team was delighted with the outcome of their event and can’t wait to see what accomplishments the upcoming season will bring for them.
