SATURDAY

The St. John’s Methodist Church Primetimers Travelers will hold a travel talk at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, in Ward Hall at the church, 104 Newberry St. N.W. Ingrid Long from Simply Special Tours will give a talk on the trips planned for 2025. Trips are for church members and friends and depart from and return to the church. 

The Aiken Symphony will perform its all Mozart concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Etherredge Center on the campus of USC Aiken, 471 University Parkway. The concert will feature pianist Ying Li. The concert is part of the Masterworks series. Tickets are $45 or $60 depending on seat selection. The Aiken Camellia Society will hold its annual show from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 129 Pendleton St. Blooms for judging will be accepted from 7-10:30 a.m. Those wishing to be judged should bring a camellia bloom with a few inches of stem and some leaves. “Lobster Man” a play by South Carolina actor, writer and filmmaker Jonathan Cook, will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Etherredge Center on the campus of USC Aiken, 471 University Parkway. Aiken Women In Black and Moms Demand Action will hold a Vigil for Peace and Nonviolence on Monday, Jan. 20, from 4-5 p.m., on Whiskey Road across from The Fresh Market.
